W & W Nursery & Landscaping Inc., a leading 20 year old company in upstate New York is seeking professional, goal and team oriented individuals for the following positions.
Garden Center - Full time and part time positions to assist customers with plant selections and sales. Duties to include the maintenance of plant material such as watering, weeding, potting etc., assisting with retail displays, This is a hands on position and candidates must enjoy working with people and be outgoing, self motivated, creative, and goal oriented. Knowledge of northeast plant material is preferred.
Landscape Division - Full time positions for landscape installers. Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in the field or a degree in landscape construction. Equipment operation is required (skidsteer, loaders, excavator, tractors etc.) A valid and clean New York State drivers license is mandatory. All candidates must be responsible, goal and team oriented. Knowledge of northeast plant material and experience with reading blueprints is helpful. Hours are Monday through Friday with willingness to work overtime.
Nursery - The owner of W & W Nursery is seeking an assistant Nursery Manager with the production of nursery stock. Duties to include the planting of bare root trees, shrub potting and a maintenance program for nursery stock. The ability to operate a tree spade, skid steers and tractors is required for the harvesting and shipment of products. This is a hands on position requiring strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates should be self motivated and goal oriented. A degree in Horticulture or Nursery Management with three years experience in the field is required. A current applicators license and becoming a CNP will be required. The ability to speak Spanish will be useful.
